This old farm used to belong during 30 years to Excofon family. They planted the vineyards and harvesting the grapes that they brought to the Cave Coopérative of Le Luc. Passionate by Provence and especially by the wine production, Family De Groot bought the Domain in 1999. A lot of renovation work has been done since this date and they decided to produce for the first time wine from Amaurigue. Indeed, Amaurigue own a very good soil for wine in the middle of and arena of pinewoods.

So they decided to build a very modern winery with the permanent willing of keeping the original style of the domain. This new winery equipped to produce top quality wines is totally integrated to the rest of the old houses.
Only few years after the first millesime, wines from Amaurigue are sold and appreciated all over the world. This success is due to the perfect association of 3 fundamental factors in wine: soil, climate and people.

The old sheep fold with large arcades. This place is now reconverted as an aging room for wine. That's the place were white and red from Amaurigue spend 6 to 12 month for aging to get those special flavour extracted from French oak barrels, voluptuous tanning for reds, toasty and vanillas flavours for whites. During this aging, wine evolves because of the natural micro-oxygenation trough the wood porosity.
