Domaine de l’Amaurigue launches vintage 2020 rosé with a new design of the cuvée spéciale Fleur de l’Amaurigue.
New design
Fleur de l’Amaurigue rosé was introduced by the de Groot family in 2003 and is named after daughter Fleur. This year the bottle comes in a new design with special bottom and a fresh label. Fleur, together with winemaker Jean Marie Quef, selected a stylish new bottle with a sparkling looking bottom. The transparent label gives the bottle an elegant look, making the pale rosé color even more visible.
Fleur rosé, a wine to celebrate every moment in life
The cuvée spéciale vintage 2020 is characterized by a beautiful light pale colour. It has an expressive nose, with scents of tropical fruits. The rosé is pleasantly concentrated, with in the mouth powerful white peach combined with a touch of strawberry and a hint of spices. The wine has a delicious aftertaste and has its own recognizable Amaurigue style in taste, quality, elegance and balance. It’s a beautiful and aromatic rosé that will delight your senses! Enjoy this crispy rosé all-year-round, either on its own or as perfect partner with Mediterranean or Oriental cuisine.
About Domaine de l’Amaurigue
Originally, l’Amaurigue was a farm built in 1786 and the estate consisted of forest. The first vines were planted in the 1940s thanks to the owners at that time, who selected the best varieties to be planted on the best parcels of the estate. Since their arrival in 1998, the De Groot family has completely renovated the living area of the estate and the vineyard respecting the originality of the place. One of the major steps in this historical restructuring of the l’Amaurigue estate was building the modern wine-making cellar. The vineyard covers 47 hectares of vines in the middle of a 155-hectare secluded wooded area. Vines are comfortably wedged into sloping hillsides and facing south and east. The hilly surroundings of the property and its clay-limestone soils allow the Provençal grape varieties to fully express their aromas. Grenache, cinsault and carrignan for the rosés; syrah and cabernet sauvignon for the reds, rolle and ugni blanc for the whites. Today the wine is distributed in France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Ibiza, US, Canada and Asia.
Sustainability
The family strives to produce authentic wines of high quality, with respect for the environment and focus on sustainability: strengthening biodiversity and the natural protection of the crops on the estate. For this Amaurigue is awarded with the High Environmental Value Certificate (HVE). HVE covers four key areas: biodiversity conservation, plant protection strategy, management of the use of fertilizer and management of water. Also all wines are vegan.
Awards
With its unique terroir, Domaine de l’Amaurigue produces top-quality and award winning Provence wines: like the Médaille d’Or on the Concours Général Agricole de Paris and gold at the Decanter World Wine Awards in London. The new vintage Fleur rosé 2020 recently won a golden medal at the Concours Mondial in Brussels.
The cuvée spéciale Fleur de l’Amaurigue is available at a selected number of exclusive wine shops and restaurants.
