FLEUR DE L’AMAURIGUE WHITE 2023
WINE MAKING
Typical Burgundy wine-making is done on this special Cuvée produced from a selection of old vines. Short skin maceration that ensures better extraction of the varietal aromas of the grape varieties followed by slow pressing at low pressure in order to extract only the best juices. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in 228-litre French oak barrels. The wine is then aged on fine lees for 6 months in the same barrels which gives it a surprising complexity with slightly roasted aromas.
TASTING COMMENTS
This unusual white wine is produced from a selection of rolle and harvested by hand. This results in a very aromatic white wine. Hints of honey and pear on the nose reveal a pleasant maturity in the vintage. In the mouth, it starts with peach and pineapple aromas, then hints of vanilla and light toasty flavours. The incredible fat and long taste in the mouth are the result of barrel ageing on fine lees.
