Our History

Domaine de l’Amaurigue is a beautiful, family-owned estate situated in the heart of Provence, home to the Dutch De Groot family. Originally built in 1786 as a farm surrounded by forest, the estate began its transformation into a vineyard in the 1940s, when the owners of the time selected the finest grape varieties and planted them on the best parcels of the land. Since their arrival in 1998, the De Groot family has made l’Amaurigue their own, carrying the estate’s history forward while shaping its future.

Today, the estate continues to grow while staying true to its roots. Our vineyard has expanded over the years, and sustainability now guides everything we do, from how we farm the land to how we make our wine. Our wines are exported to markets around the world and have earned international recognition, a reflection of the quality and character we bring to every bottle of Provence AOP wine we produce. As we look ahead, we hope to stay true to who we are and continue making beautiful wines together as a family for many more years to come!
